We are delight to welcome Hungarian textile artist Gabriella Kovacs to Ireland to give a three day workshop in the beautiful setting of Farmleigh in Dublin on Feb 28, March 1st and 2nd. Cost for the three day workshop €120. During the workshop we will be felting a three dimensional object  – participants can choose from a wide variety of items a tea cozy,  a small bag or any type  holders.  We will work on design when everyone draws the shape of their own shape, which can be abstract or symbolic origin.  Application forms with more details will be available here very very shortly…….

January Workshop – Basic & Beyond

Anyone interested in taking part in our Basic & Beyond workshop can open and print the application form and send it off to Maureen with a cheque, all the details are on the form. It’s a busy and creative day shared with lots of enthusiastic feltmakers. All materials for the day are supplied .  It would make a lovely Christmas present for someone.

Join in an adventure of making wonderful cloth and paper samples for a one day workshop. The aim of the session is on 08to extract colours from natural materials using a variety of eco dyeing and printing techniques. Suitable for dyeing novices as well as for those who want to improve their skills.

Feltmakers Ireland are delighted to welcome Catherine O’Leary from Australia to give a three-day workshop in October. Creating intricate and original surface designs using nuno prefelts, each student will develop a pattern that suits her body shape. The main focus of this workshop will be on surface decoration and the manipulation of garment design”.

We are thrilled to welcome Pam for a Large Wrap/Shawl Workshop.

Spend 2 days making a large wrap for cool evenings this summer.  Pam will walk us through

her amazing techniques of mosaic felt making.  We’ll also be looking at closures, toggles and clasps.

Venue for the 2 days is St. Brigid’s National School, Beechwood Lawn, Castleknock.

Saturday June, 11 2011 and Sunday June 12  10:00 to 5:00
