Happy New Year

Feltmakers Ireland have a very busy year ahead with lots of interesting workshops and events in the pipeline. On Christmas Eve we got a letter from the OPW granting us permission to use the Artist Studio at the Knockmaroon Gate of the Phoenix Park in Dublin as a Felt Studio. It is a quirky little octagonal building that was originally used as a Nature Centre. The studio is undergoing some refurbishments for the next couple of week and then we will be opening it to feltmakers to come and work and share ideas. We will keep you posted.

We have also plans for the German Felt artist Annette Quentin Stoll to come to Ireland in March to give two  workshops. She makes beautiful pleated and folded felt forms. We will post more details next week. Also Anna Gunnesdottir has accepted an invitation from us to come to Ireland from Iceland in the late Summer/early Autumn. Watch this space.
