Open Call: Dublin Fibre Festival Seeking Vendors, Exhibitors and Instructors

The second year of the Dublin Fibre Festival will be held on the 18th of October, 2025 at the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA).

Applications for vendors, exhibitors and workshop instructors are open until the 30th of April for vendors and exhibitors.


Vendors and Exhibitors

All fibre artists are welcome to vend or exhibit in the following categories:

  • Wool, knitting and crocheting, felting, embroidery, macrame, textiles and fabrics, weaving, and wool-related technology.

Workshop Tutors

For workshop instructors, eligible categories include the following:

  • Teaching fibre-related techniques, crafts, products, technology, software, small businesses, and entrepreneurship subjects.
  • Talking about a technique, craft, product, history, culture, technology, small businesses, entrepreneurship or anything related to the fibre industry and having a small business in the fibre/craft industries.

Opportunity: Tutors Needed for Evening Courses

Castleknock Community College requests tutors for their Spring 2024 evening classes and workshops.

If you would like to propose a night class or workshop or know someone who might be interested in giving a class, please let them know soon.

Due to high demand, they have a need for instructors in the following areas:

  • Stained Glass
  • Sewing
  • DIY
  • Knitting
  • Pilates
  • Chess
  • Woodwork
  • Wood Carving

The deadline for proposals is Thursday, October 12th.

Opportunity: for Artists and Educators

The Arts Council wishes to engage between 100 and 120 Creative Associates to work in up to 400 schools across the Republic of Ireland. Creative Associates are artists or creative practitioners with a deep understanding of creativity and its potential to transform the lives of children and young people.

The deadline is the 18th of April.

to design and take a course in Castleknock Community College D15. Adult Education Dept..It is a night school. The person could set a duration of eight or 10 weeks with classes being two hours or 90 minutes long, which ever they felt was best. The tutor rate is €41.38 per hour

So an 8 week 2 hour course pays €620.70 & a 10 week 2 hour course pays €827.60 for example we run Mondays & Tuesdays so they could have their choice of night.

They are wondering if any of our members would be interested in doing a felt needlework class for the weekend of Friday 14th – Sunday 16thJune’19. They have a group of 9 members from Donegal who are looking to do Felt Needlework. They provide all tutors with accommodation and meals and have an hourly rate and also pay mileage costs.
