Exhibition: Wonderful WOOL – Exhibition by IFA Region 14 Members

Several members of Feltmakers Ireland have pieces in the International Feltmakers Association – Region 14 members’ exhibition, ‘Wonderful WOOL’, set in the Larne Museum and Arts Centre, Larne, Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland, UK.

The event runs from the 7th to the 27th of July, with an opening celebration on the 22nd.

Exhibition: Along The Loanin – by Caóilfíonn Murphy O’Hanlon

Member Caóilfíonn Murphy O’Hanlon, who creates felted landscapes under the business name Cushla of Gullion, has an exhibition, Along The Loanin, that launches this Friday at 7pm in the Market Place Theatre & Arts Centre, Armagh, Northern Ireland.

It’s a multi-media exhibition of word, wool paintings, and photography – all inspired by the hills of home.

Event: 2nd International Day of Celtic Art

Where: St Patrick Centre, Downpatrick, Northern Ireland.

When: 8-11 June 2023 (Thursday to Sunday).

Who: Celtic artists, craftspeople and scholars from the USA, Canada, Scotland, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland speaking about their work, displaying artworks and doing demonstrations.

Exhibition: McCaw Allan Tea Towel Collection

Alongside Belfast and Lisburn, Lurgan was one of Ulster’s leading centres of linen production, and this exhibition celebrates the work of one Lurgan company in particular – the McCaw Allan Company.

The Tea Towels are on display at the R-Space Gallery.

Location: Lisburn, Northern Ireland.

The exhibition runs until the 19th of May.
