Open Call: InnLyte Studio Series – Short Documentary Videos about Wellness and Creativity

Open Call -artists and makers across Ireland - link between creativity and wellbeing.

Visual artists or makers based in Ireland, with a physical studio space, and who have experienced how creativity can support their wellbeing or mental health, are invited to participate in the InnLyte Studio Series of short documentary videos.

The InnLyte Studio Series focuses on visual artists and makers who work with materials like paint, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, textiles, mixed media, or any other tactile, visual art forms.

This is an independent and self-funded project by Dee Stopa.

There’s no payment, but selected artists will receive professional photographs and be part of a meaningful conversation.

This open call is ongoing.

Exhibition: Orla Kiely Retrospective at National Design & Craft Gallery in Kilkenny

The Design and Crafts Council of Ireland presents ‘Orla Kiely A Life in Pattern’, an exhibition showcasing the work of designer Orla Kiely.

“Orla Kiely is one of the UK and Ireland’s most successful designers. Her stylised graphic patterns are innovative, influential and instantly recognisable. With a global audience in thrall to the rhythms and repeats of her designs, this exhibition explores the power of decoration to transform the way we feel.” – From the DCCI’s website.

Location: The National Design and Craft Gallery, The Castle Yard, The Parade, Kilkenny⁠

Opening hours: Tuesday – Saturday: 10 AM – 5:30 PM

Please note, the National Design & Craft Gallery will not be open on Good Friday 18th April, or Easter Monday 21st April.

The exhibition runs until the 19th of July, 2025.

Open Call: Tiny Acorns – a Journal Exhibition – Cork

Open Call - Tiny Acorns - a journal/sketchbook exhibition for creatives based in Ireland. Part of the In the Making Festival, in Cork.

In the Making Festival‘ has an open call for submissions to ‘Tiny Acorns’, a multidisciplinary journal exhibition showcasing a curated selection of physical sketchbooks and journals by artists, creators, and makers across Ireland.

Sketchbooks/journals (landscape or portrait) must not exceed A4 dimensions (8.3 x 11.7 inches). 

The exhibition will be at the Cork Opera House – the 2nd of April, 2025.

Deadline: the 22nd of February.
