Sheep 2025 is the largest dedicated, sheep-focused open day on the island of Ireland.

The event includes many attractions, presentations, and demonstrations, which will interest anyone involved in sheep farming, rural life, or Irish agriculture.

For feltmakers, these areas may be of interest –

  • Sheep Shearing demonstrations and wool displays in the Wool Village
  • Sheep breed competitions
  • Sheep breed display

When: Saturday, 21st of June, from 10 AM to 5 PM

Where: Teagasc Mellows Campus in Athenry, Co. Galway.

@Teagasc runs this event in conjunction with industry partners, the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, @bordbia, @sheepirelandofficial, and @farmersjournal.

Learned of Flavours of Fingal County Show via our friends at the Irish Guild of Weavers, Spinners, and Dyers.

Dates: 1st and 2nd of July.

“This is a busy show, with lots to see and do. Irish Alpaca Yarns will have a stand in the Craft Tent. There will probably be some sheep shearing, and local Alpaca farms will be there with some of their animals”.

“Free entry if you travel there by foot, bike, bus or train. There is a train station in Donabate with trains from Connolly or from Drogheda and Dundalk. Shuttle buses can be booked from nearby towns and villages”.

Event: Sheep 2023 Returns After 5 Years

‘SHEEP 2023’ will be the largest dedicated sheep industry event of 2023. Following on from very successful past events, this year’s event will take place in a new venue, Gurteen Agricultural College, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary, E53 TP93.

According to the website, there is a ‘Wool Village’ and Sheep Breed Displays!
