Sunday Session – Marjolein Dallinga

Join us on Sunday next (November 13th) when we will be looking back on the work that was made with Marjolein Dallinga when she gave a workshop to Feltmakers Ireland members last month.

The Sessions take place in our studio in the Phoenix Park from 10.30-13.00. There is a €5 which includes tea/coffee. The studio is located beside the Knockmaroon gate to the park. Everyone welcome.

At our nest Sunday Session we are delighted to announce an opportunity to meet and work with one of our talented members, Pippa Sweeney.

Sunday Session Extra on 11th September is a variation of our monthly Sunday Session. In the morning session from 10.30 till 1pm in our studio Pippa is going to introduce herself and her work. Everyone is welcome! The admission in 5 euros.
The afternoon session is a 3-hour workshop with Pippa from 2-5pm. Participants are going to learn how to make 3 D needle felted faces attached to a flat background. This project  incorporates a number of needle felting techniques. The workshop together with the morning session costs 30 euros. Booking is essential for the workshop. Marjolien Dallinga workshop

FELTMAKERS IRELAND  are delighted to announce a forthcoming workshop with celebrated Canadian artist and  feltmaker, Marjolien Dallinga.This 3 day sculptural felt workshop will take place at  The  Seamus Ennis Centre, Naul, Co. Dublin from  Saturday 17th to Monday 19th September 2016   10:00am until 17:00pm each day

This workshop is not suitable for beginners

Cost : members €180  non members €200

The title of this workshop is:

FORM IN FELT: FOLDING AND UNFOLDING

“Students will be challenged to play with their own designs using sculptural felting techniques, deepening their awareness of the creative process with an accent on the journey and not the end result. This is an experimental discovery workshop. At the end of each day we will discuss creations to heighten awareness of color and design choices. An exhibition of all work will complete the course.”  Marjolien Dallinga

Cost of workshop – Members €180 , Non-Members €200
Materials are not included in the cost. Wool will be available to buy on the day or you can bring your own.

Materials needed include  approx 1KG wool in as many colours as possible, you can use roving or batting, merino wool or other wools,  also some (100 gr) black and greys.

The closing date for receipt of applications is 3rd September 2016   Payment can be made by bank transfer     (make sure to reference your name), cheque,  or postal order,  payable to   Feltmakers  Ireland
