Urgent: More Flowers Needed for Floral Tapestry

More pink, yellow, and/or white felted flowers are needed for our Floral Tapestry Project.

Feltmakers Ireland needs your help: We need more pink, yellow, and/or white felted flowers for our Floral Tapestry Project.

Any variety of pink with splashes of white, yellow, purple or green would be great.
Any style and roughly 20cm in diameter.

This will be displayed at our upcoming exhibition, ‘Bountiful’, at the Phoenix Park Visitor’s Centre and is part of our 20th Anniversary celebration of our guild being founded by Elizabeth Bonnar twenty years ago!

So, please roll up your sleeves and get felting!

When completed, please contact guild member Deirdre Crofts, who generously chairs this project. She will add them to our tapestry.

Reminder: This Sunday – Felting Flowers to Create a Tapestry

This Sunday, on the 10th of September, we will create a wonderful floral tapestry to commemorate Feltmaker’s 20th anniversary. The more flowers we have, the bigger it will be. It will become a travelling celebration wherever we go for years to come!

If you like, bring along already felted pink and/or white flowers to contribute to our Guild’s tapestry. The more the merrier!

Come along. It’ll be a 3-hour session this time. Bring the usual felting equipment that you use. Fibre will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring any fibre of your own in the pinkish range. Bring some home bakes to share, of course.

Usual venue… CIE Sports and Social Club, Inchicore. 10:30 – 1:30 PM.

Please RSVP, if you can, to decrofts@gmail.com – it will better help us plan.

Looking forward to seeing lots of you there.

Members who cannot attend the Sunday Session in person can use the Zoom link emailed the day before the event. The session will not be recorded.

Thank you,

Fiona and the committee.
