Open Call: Fiber Art Now – Fiber in 3D

Fiber Art Now invites artists to apply to their juried exhibition Fiber in 3D. Selected pieces will appear in the spring 2024 issue of the magazine to be released in early April 2024. Selected artwork will be eligible for the onsite exhibition at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, Houston, Texas, from January 27th through May 4th, 2024.

Artists are invited to enter TWO innovative three-dimensional artworks of an original design that stretch the boundaries of fibre and textile techniques. The artwork must include a fibre component or textile technique.

Show us your sculptures, vessels, installations, wearables … all of your three-dimensional work!

Fiber Art Now

The application deadline is the 30th of November.

Exhibition: ‘Fiber Reimagined’ Show in Philadelphia

Visiting Pennsylvania? ‘Fiber Reimagined’ is an international juried in-print exhibition in collaboration with Fiber Art Now Magazine. This national travelling show was conceived of and juried by the magazine’s creative team: Lori Butanis, Barbara Delaney, Beth Smith, and Cami Smith.

Forty artworks from seven countries and 33 states were selected for the ‘Fiber Reimagined‘ print exhibition, which was published in the Spring 2023 edition of Fiber Art Now.

Gravers Lane Gallery Artistic Director Bruce Hoffman selected 21 pieces for this exclusive gallery exhibition. This work will be shown in two locations:

  • Gravers Lane Gallery, 8405 Germantown Avenue in Chestnut Hill, and
  • Gravers Lane Gallery at 1213 Walnut Street in Midtown Village, Philadelphia.

The show runs until the 12th of November, 2023.

Awards: Emerging Artist Grant via Fiber Art Now

Are you a recent graduate or new to feltmaking or textiles?

This Fiber Art Now award is available to artists anywhere who have completed a degree program within the last two years or have started working in fibres within the last five years.

Deadline: the 15th of October.

AWARD: 300 USD.
