Plans are well under way for our exhibition of handmade felt hats in the beautiful location of Farmleigh in the Phoenix Park. Many thanks to the OPW for their support with this project.

From their website:

Feltmakers Ireland in association with the Office of Public Works presents  “Hats Off in Farmleigh” – an exhibition of work by Feltmakers Ireland.  Also featuring a beautiful film on feltmaking made by internationally famous Hungarian Felt Artist – Judit Pocs.

There will be short talks every day, during the exhibition, on Feltmakers Ireland and the craft of felt.  Feltmakers Ireland was founded in May 2003. The association provides workshops with national and international tutors, exhibitions and information about the craft. This exhibition is a showcase of the amazing felted hats our members have designed and made.

The exhibition runs from 28th February till 2nd March. Opening hours from 10am – 5pm.

Admission free.

Get ready for cooler weather with a class in felt hat making.  Learn to make wonderful felt hats for the first time or refine your skills and finishing techniques.

Saturday – September 21, 2013 – 2 spots left

10:00 – 16:00 – at the Feltmakers Ireland Studio, Knockmaroon Gate, Phoenix Park, Dublin

€40.00 – Does not include your fibre.
