Education: Pam de Groot – Online Dyeing Workshop

In her online course, ‘Dyeverse Synthetic’, feltmaker and teacher Pam de Groot will cover the basics and also venture into colouring and patterning fabric for use in felting projects. Using ‘Acid Dyes’, students will learn how to print and paint. Additionally, students will learn how to use fabrics in Nunofelting applications. The course will demonstrate how to ensure samples are fixed and ready for projects. It is designed to cover as many techniques as possible while keeping costs minimal and showing how to be innovative with equipment.

Education: Textile Classes with Mel Bradley – Drogheda

Feltmakers Ireland member Mel Bradley, a professional artist and teacher, will teach a series of five textile workshops this spring: silk painting, Nuno felting, indigo dyeing, and transfer printing. You can take one or multiple classes.

Classes are small and tailored to suit those attending.

When: Each session runs from 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM.

Where: Gallery 13, Millmount Craft Quarter, Drogheda, County Louth.

Education: Dyeing Classes via the Muddle in Bray

Feltmakers Ireland member Sharon Wells will teach a series of in-person, dying classes in November via the Muddle in Bray, Co. Wicklow.

The classes are on Tuesdays, from 10:30 AM until 1:30 PM.

The first class is on how to dye wool, silk fibre and yarn. The class is perfect for felters, spinners, weavers, etc.

The second class is on natural dyeing.

The third class is making paints from plants.

The fourth class is on Procion (fibre-reactive) dyeing, taught by Anne Jeffares.

Supplies will be provided. Class size is limited. You will receive a discount of 5 euros for each additional class you book.
