Open Call: Hunt Museum Annual Exhibition

The Hunt Museum in Limerick invites artists from across Ireland and beyond to submit work for its annual exhibition.

This inaugural show will offer a platform for both emerging and established artists to showcase their work. Submissions are invited from visual artists working in paint, photography, sculpture, print, drawing and mixed media.

The selected pieces will be exhibited at the Hunt Museum, providing artists with the opportunity to gain public exposure and engage with a diverse audience.

Submission deadline: Sunday, the 31st of August, 2025.

Exhibition: Dr Niki Collier – Symbols of Mobility – The Hunt Museum – Limerick

Dr Niki Collier's 'Symbols of Mobility' a multidisiplinary work at the Hunt Museum in Limerick - runs until the 23rd of March, 2025.

Dr Niki Collier’s Symbols of Mobility is a multidisciplinary, ambitious body of work that explores mobility as a change of state or place. The exhibition incorporates large-scale felt sculptures, film, and photography. The work is informed by exploring bird lore in proverbs, fairytales, and intangible cultural traditions. 

Where: Garden Gallery at The Hunt Museum, Limerick.

When: The Launch is at 4 PM on the 6th of March.

Opening remarks will be given by H.E. Vanya Andreeva Malakova, the Ambassador of Bulgaria in Ireland.

The show runs until the 23rd of March.

Event: Wonders of Wool – Irish Design Week – Limerick

From luxury fashion to technical composites, wool fibre has a wide range of applications. Join ‘Wonders of Wool’ for this Irish Design Week event and discover more about the wonders of wool. This event will be hosted by Limerick School of Art and Design, with artists and designers presenting their current projects, including;

There will be an opportunity to get involved in a BIG KNIT and a weaving workshop, which will welcome participation from attendees.

This workshop/open studio event follows on from the ‘Wonderful Wool’ event at the University of Ulster, which had over 120 attendees.

Join us to talk to makers, creators and presenters from across the island of Ireland who are harnessing the wonders of wool!

Supported by the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland and the Irish Grown Wool Council.
