And what better way to get going after the holidays than learning a new skill. There are still places available for our fabulous introduction to feltmaking class, Basic and Beyond. In this one day class you will learn all the basic skills of wet felting. You’ll learn how to make good felt, how to know
when a piece is well felted, how fibre from different breeds behaves, and then come away at the end of the day with a small 3D bag or bowl. All of your fibre is included in the cost, and you even should have enough left over to have a go at home!
The class is on January 23rd in Lucan and costs only €75. And if you’re a member of Feltmakers Ireland it’s even less.

Welcome to 2015! If you are new to felt making or have seen a demonstration of this wonderful craft, you are in luck.
One again, Feltmakers Ireland will be running our annual Basic and Beyond Workshop. You will learn how to make felt, the proper finishing of felt, reactions and shrinkage of different fibre types, as well as embellishment, 3D pieces and nuno felting. It is always an exciting day with plenty of home baked goods and a wealth of information from our lovely instructors.

We are just recovering from yet another fantastic Knitting & Stitching Show. There was huge interest in feltmaking and in our Stand. Thanks to everyone who visited.
We are delighted to announce two forthcoming workshops.
A one day Hat Making workshop in our studio on Saturday 22nd of November – perfect timing to make yourself a beautiful felt hat for the cold days ahead. The application form below – fibre is available on the day (€3 for 50g).
