I recently spent a lovely week-end in Budapest and met a feltmaker called Judit Kovacs, she is a friend of one of our members in Dublin. She very generously met me and brought me to an exhibition opening of natural dying and then to meet her group of feltmakers. They were so warm and welcoming and we shared some ideas and had dinner together. Our shared interest in felt and textiles overcame any language difficulties very rapidly. They are holding an exhibition at the moment in Budapest and if you click on the link below you can see their work. The tradition of feltmaking in Hungary is very old and it is fascinating to see some of the young designers work. Sheila Ahern
