As if things weren’t good enough with our new felt sign (see below) Colleen brought along our new banner to last Wednesday’s Drop In day. The banner is a composite of a wide variety of photographs of felt work and is to be used at the different events we attend. The banner was designed by committee member Gina Faustino who did a magnificent job photographing and composing the images. This pic doesn’t do the banner justice you need to see it standing 2m tall – it really is eyecatching.
Our new Drop In schedule has kicked off with a great start. We held the first sessions last Wednesday in Blanchardstown and today in Bray. Everyone who came along got a chance to try working with different fibres to make a felt sample. We plan to join all the samples together to have a permanent record of how well each type of wool felts. The next session is on Sunday 27th in Lucan and everyone is welcome to come along and join in.
